Useful and rugged |
|
This tool was invaluable when replacing the timing belt on a 2000 Civic. It is well built and up to the job. On thing that I I would like to add, if you are having trouble breaking the pulley bolt loose with this tool, add an extension to your breaker bar. It took a 3ft lever arm to crack my bolt loose. Like the man said "give me a long enough lever and I can move the earth..." |

Great product for the Honda mechanic |
This tool is great for helping remove or reinstall the crank pulley bolt on most any Honda/Acura vehicle. It especially helps hold the crank in place when the pulley bolt is torqued to the proper spec, as it prevents the engine from getting rotated backwards (which can be very bad) while tightening the bolt.
This particular tool has the best price I've seen, probably half the price of more expensive brand-name tools, but it works exactly the same. |

Awesome |
Honda wanted almost $300 for a similar tool, and it would have taken 3 months to get...
Great price and it works great! Most of my Honda buddies have borrowed it at least once since I have got it. |

Essential tool for Timing belt replacement |
|
If you don't have air tools you need this tool to remove the crank shaft pulley. One breaker bar is attached to this tool to prevent the crank from turning, the other breaker bar on the bolt, with a couple of extensions to allow you to turn it from outside the wheel well. Its still difficult to loosen, I needed reposition them until I found a location that prevented the engine from flexing on the motor mounts. |

Honda Crank Pulley Tool Review |
|
This tool worked like a charm. Took me all of about 2 minutes to break the torque on that damn bolt. Worth every penny. Fast shipping too. |
