All I was needing and more |
In short, it is a very good AIO printer with a lot of easy to use features. Here is my short list of likes and dislikes:
What I like:
1. Auto duplexing, no need to flip the page over for it to print on the other side.
2. Every feature I can ask for
3. Color fax (send and receive).
4. The front touch panel changes the command uttons based on what you want to do, in short, it only shows you the buttons that you NEED at that time
5. Scanner can work as a flat bed or document feeder, great for making copies of important papers
6. Easy to see how much ink you have left right from the printer.
7. Easy wifi setup, much easier than I was expecting.
8. You can scan using WIFI, yep, you can scan without hooking it up to your computer.
9. You can scan documents/pictures/etc directly to a memory card or USB thumb drive.
10. Prints directly onto printable CD/DVD dics.
11. Prints awesome photos using Epson glossy paper, yes it makes a difference
12. I was nervous about so many people having pper jam problems, but I have yet to have that problem, not once.
What I don't like:
1. A bit loud when waking up to print, not too bad though.
2. Uses a little more ink than I expected, but the ink does not cost all that much as you have 6 colors separate, so you only buy the color you need.
3. The OCR software that comes with it is, in my opinion, useless, download FreeOCR if you want to convert scanned text to editable text.
All in all, if I could go back and choose any other pinter, I would still choose this one no questions asked, knock on wood. |

Normally, I only buy HP printers. Ihave used HP for over 30 years. Recently, I had problems with the newer HPs and switched to two epsom printrs. I am ver happy I did. |

Excellent Epson Service |

Unfortunately, two weeks after receiving my Epson 810 it stopped working. I looked for a paper jam for an hour with no luck. It just asked me to restart over and over again, but that did nothing. I then called Epson and without hesitation they sent me a new printer the very next day. I returned the old one in the same box. They even gave me a free shipping label. I thought this was impressive customer service. The new printer is working fine, even the faxing feature and setting it up to be wireless that I thought would be a problem. |

We made the right choice with Epson Artisan 810 |
Typically we are HP owners but since we anticipate a need to print higher quality digital photos we decided to purchase an Epson this time. We are very happy that we did. This product meets our needs for that purpose. The thing we like best is the ink cartridges. The colors each have their own separate cartridge as opposed to being all in one. The set up was a breeze because the instructions were explicit and easy to read, including the wifi printing set up. The quality and speed of the print jobs are excellent and the scanning function is easy to use. We haven't used the fax yet so we can't report on that function, but don't anticipate any problems

Good printer |

The features of this printer are great. The print quality on Photo Paper looks great, better than I expected however, the print quality on premium paper varies from ok to very good. Overall I would recommend this printer. |
