Safety First
Once your baby is able to sit up by himself, he'll probably want more room and flexibility than his smaller, reclining infant bathtub allows. 6 mos. w/out a problem; we keep it inflated; recommend it |
I saw a few bad reviews before we bought this, but there were enough good ones to take a chance. It has paid off. Six months of constant use with no problems whatsoever. No leaks, no issues except for the valve I can't push in. I was afraid that would be a problem, but it sticks out of the bottom and is unnoticed by me and the baby.
Baby got used to it after one "what the...?!" bath. It was nice to get away from the sink at bath time. (I'm sure I'll look back at those old pictures and miss those days, but for now we're enjoying the tub scene.) Baby was less than a year old when we started using it. She's 17 months old now, is big for her age and it will still be a while before she outgrows this tub.
We keep it inflated so I don't have to hyperventilate blowing it up for each bath. It has stayed inflated all this time. (I added a few puffs of air one time and that was after about 4 months of use.) It has a suction cup on a outer flap, so I dump the water and stick it to the shower wall to dry. That may be why we have no leaks, but I obviously can't confirm that.
Based on our experience, I recommend the product. |

Great....for a short while |

We bought this tub 3 months ago for our 6 month old daughter. It was great until it developed a slow leak on a seam. We would just have to re-inflate it a bit before each use, but now it won't even make it through one bath. Since it had only been 3 months, I called Shoppreview to see if they would replace it. Shoppreview told me I needed to contact the manufacturer, Kelgard. When I contacted them I was told to contact Shoppreview. So bottom line is that no one seems to want to talk about replacing it for us. It is great until it leaks. Is sure seems like we should have gotten more than 3 months use from it! |

Very slippery and dangerous |
I was hoping this would be a good transition tub for my 6 month old who is growing out of the tub that fits in the sink.
If you are in the same situation, I caution you with this purchase -
1) It reeks like plastic and has for weeks.
2) it is dangerously slippery. My son can sit up very securely, however he immediately slid. I even bought a tub mat insert to try, and he still slipped.
3) It barely fits into our tub. |

Grrreat! |
We used the infant bath tub initially but by the time my daughter turned 2 months we started using this inflatable tub. I put it in the tub and though my daughter doesn't sit up yet, she has plenty of room to move her legs and arms while I hold her. Yes, it is more strenuous for my back but it's good fun and exercise for my baby. Also, we don't have much room in my bathroom so we put up two extension rods (like those you use to hang a shower curtain) above the tub and store it on them. This keeps it out of the way though the tub does have a suction cup which works.
I can't wait till my baby sits up - I envision putting the Snug Tub out on the porch for her to play in. O, by the way, I haven't reinflated it once since I bought it (about 2 months ago or so)- yes, some of the air escaped, as with all inflatables, but it's still sturdy enough. I also sometimes put a blanket in it and let my daughter 'sit' in it and play with her toys. I find it very versatile. |

Great bathtub! |
Bought this for my baby granddaughter's recent visit. My daughter is so happy with it that she wants to take it home with her! Nice size. Soft for baby.
Has a large suction cup to hang it from the shower wall when not in use and has a drain hole at opposite end so drains and dries nicely |
